The Eight Modern Chinese Restaurat is located in Sydney’s Chinatown at the top level of Market City above Paddy’s Markets. This is one of the top Yum Cha restaurants in Sydney. The Eight Modern Chinese Restaurant serves Yum Cha everyday at lunch time from 11am – 2pm and full al a carte Cantonese food at dinner time with over 80 different dishes on the menu. There is a large main dining room as well as a number of private dining rooms available for larger groups.

This restaurant is very popular, so reservations are highly recommended, especially on Weekends!

The restaurant has a number of fish tanks installed to serve up fresh seafood including lobster, crab and fresh fish. Yum Cha at lunch time is very popular with the restaurnat being full most days. There are lots of trolleys going around the restaurant serving up steamed dumplings, fried dishes and congee. I’ve visited here many times over the years and can highly recommend the Yum Cha dishes. All very high quality.
