Tunnel from Wynyard Train Station to Hunter Connection Sydney

January 2020: The tunnel from Wynyard Train Station to Hunter Connection in the Sydney CBD has finally reopened (it re-opened in December 2019). It was closed a few years as part of the Wynyard Train Station redevelopment. The much beloved tunnel has re-opened!
Although the tunnel has re-opened, the food stores that once existed in the tunnel have yet to return! We will be tracking the progress and will update this page once any food stores opens in this tunnel.
There are 2 entrances down to the Hunter Connection tunnel from Wynyard Station. From Wynyard Train Station, next to the ramp that goes up to George Street, there are stairs on the right hand side and escalators on the left hand side.
At the bottom of the stairs / escalators there is an area for retail stores including the famous food stores. There is probably room for 12 small shops / food shops. Fingers are crossed that the Naughty Chef returns and serves up their famous Pho noodle soup and some of the cheapest Banh Mi bread rolls in Sydney CBD. Also the Laksa place (sorry can’t remember what that place was called). The new food court will be called Taste of Wynyard.
We’ll keep you posted once food shops open in the Hunter Connection tunnel from Wynyard Station!
