My Preferred Money Exchange on Soi 11 Sukhumvit Bangkok

Where is the best Foreign Currency Exchange in Bangkok? Well I have heard many people suggest that the chain of Foreign Exchange in Bangkok called Superrich have the best exchange rates. But Superrich don’t have a location in the Soi 11 Sukhumvit area where I stay. So i’ve found the best Money Exchange on Soi 11 Sukhimvit Bangkok to be the Foreign Exchange office which is just called ‘Curreny Exchange’ – well that is the sign above their store.

‘Currency Exchange’ is located at the top end of Soi 11 just down from Sukhumvit Road. If you walk down Sukhumvit, on the right, just past the laneway Soi 11/1, you will see a group of ATM machines, then next to those is the Currency Exchange office.

They always have good competitive exchange rates and I’ve never had to show my passport here while exchanging cash.

There is an old Thai man and lady who run this foreign exchange office who say very little. I just say I want to exchange $500 Australian dollars, they print off a receipt which shows how much Baht I will get, I nod, they hand over the Thai baht and I’m on my way. No fuss service.

I always try to take Australia dollars with me to try to last my trip in Thailand. You get a much better exchange rate to exchange cash in Bangkok, compared to everthing else like using Credit Card or withdrawing cash from an ATM cash machine which charges you 220 Baht withdraw fee.
