Ipoh Town on York Malaysian Restaurant Sydney CBD
Ipoh Town on York, is a very busy lunch time restaurant in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Serving up tradtional spicy Malaysian food, this place is super busy at lunch times. By 12.10pm, there is a queue out the door of 20 or more people. Best to get in early to beat the queue. All the food at Ipoh Town on York is Halal.
I’ve been in a few times to Ipoh Town on York as I am a big fan of Malaysian food and Ipoh Town have some top quality Malaysian food. I always get in early, before 12pm so I can order and get a seat inside.
Now the food pics are not exactly Instagramable but they are so delicious. First up is the Malaysian Chicken curry which is one of my all time favourite Malaysian dishes. This is a bit spicy, packed full of complex flavours and just a delight to eat.
My 3rd all time favourite Malaysia dish is Rendang (even though it comes from Sumatra, the Malaysians have adopted it ). Another complex dish which is slow cooked beef and a whole heap of amazings herbs and spices. The beef just falls apart Yummo!
i’ve also had a laksa at Ipoh Town on York – my number 1 favourite Malaysian dish but unfortunately no photo. I will have to go back soo to have another laksa at Ipoh Town so I can take a photo. It was a very good laksa indeed!
Ipoh Town on York is located half way between Town Hall Train Station and Wynard Train Staion.
