Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino Manila Philippines
The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Manila is now called New World Manila Bay Hotel.
There is a new Hyatt Hotel in City of Dreams – review coming soon.
There is also a Grand Hyatt Hotel Manila.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino is a luxury 5 star hotel in Malate Manila Philippines. I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel for 4 nights in December. The hotel is located in a central area of Malate. If you walk out the front, turn left and walk 2 blocks you come to Manila Bay, if you turn right out the front and walk 2 blocks you reach Robinson’s Mall, a 7 level shopping mall, one of the largest shopping malls in Manila. The service at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Manila is top notch, exactly what you would expect from a Hyatt Hotel property.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel Manila is connected to a full size Casino covering over 15,000sq m, the Casino Filipino, one of the largest casinos in Manila. Entry to the casino is free and has several floors of the various gaming machines and card games and roulette tables.
I used a suite upgrade I had available from my Hyatt membership and got a Regency Suite King room which was a massive 74 sq m. The suite had a separate lounge room with large screen TV, full sized office desk and a small dining table and another large screen TV in the bedroom. The windows in the lounge room and bedroom are full sized floor to ceiling windows which give amazing views over Manila Bay. The bathroom was huge as well with full sized bathtub and separate shower.
The hotel has a full size swimming pool and a fully equipped gymnasium. There a number of restaurants to choose from in the Hyatt Hotel including the Market Cafe, Li Li Chinese Restaurant which serves a range of Cantonese cuisine. There is also The Fireplace, The Lounge and also The Pastry Boutique. Also down at the pool is the Pool side bar where you can order drinks and snacks. I only got to eat in the Li Li Chinese Restaurant and had a great meal and experienced the best service.
The executive lounge has an awesome view over Manila Bay and is one of the best place’s in Manila to sit back in the afternoon and watch the amazing sunsets over Manila Bay. What better way to enjoy the end of the day then with a nice cold beer, some snacks and a great sunset to watch. You can get access to the executive lounge when you reserve one of the Club rooms. You then get free evening drinks and canapes and also a buffet breakfast in the morning. You also get free entry into the executive lounge if you are a Diamond Member of the Hyatt Gold Passport Membership Program. Membership pays – though you do need to spend 50 nights per year in a Hyatt Hotel to get Diamond Membership.
Also directly across the road from the Hyatt Regency Hotel is a number of small restaurants and also some late night bars. One of the restaurants is a really good Japanese Restaurant and also a Korean Restaurant. There are plenty more restaurants within a few minutes walk from the Hyatt Regency. My favourite bar in Manila is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel called the Manila Bay Cafe. If you walk out the front of the Hyatt and turn left, then turn right on the first street and walk a few minutes you will find the Manila Bay Cafe on the left handside. The Manila Bay Cafe is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They play great music, have a few pool tables, serve tasty cheap food and have lots of friendly local Manila girls there.
I would definitely stay again in the Hyatt Regency Hotel for a few nights next time I am in Manila.
You can book the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino directly on the Hyatt Website. Or you can sometimes get discounted room rates on the Agoda Booking website
