Great Breakfast Cafe in Cairns – Bang and Grind Cafe

Bang and Grind is an awesome cafe located in the heart of Cairns on Spencer Street, open for breakfast and lunch, Monday to Saturday. All their breakfast meals are available at lunch time too.

I was ‘working’ remotely at the Pullman Cairns Hotel (better than working from home) which is just around the corner from Bang and Grind Cafe. I went in most mornings and tried to work through their breakfast menu. I did not quite get through the entire menu which gives me a great reason to get back and work remote from Cairns again.

This is a great Aussie cafe, friendly staff, great coffee – choice of 2 blends, smooth or strong and they got some awesome breakfast meals. There is a counter at the front which has ready made sandwiches, cakes or yoghurt cups or you can order meals off the menu and the food is cooked to order.

The 2 best meals I had during my weeks stay was their big breakfast and their brekky banana split. The big breakfast comes with 2 poached eggs, Bacon, 1/2 Kransky sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and Turkish bread toasted $19.90. This was a big feed, all very tasty.

The Brekky Banana Split was another great breakfast, very healthy as well as delicious. This had a large Queensland Banana with homemade granola, yoghurt, Berry compote and roasted coconut $14.50. Delicious!

On other mornings I had some of their simple breakfast meals like their sour dough toast with peanut butter $6.50, BLT sandwich $11.90 and a very nice cup of yoghurt with granola $4.90,
