Fine Dining Dim Sum at Mr Wong’s Restaurant Sydney

Mr Wong’s Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant specialising in Cantonese / Chinese food. Located in the Sydney City CBD Central Business District, this is one of the best Chinese restauants in Sydney. As it is fine dining, the prices are expensive. There are plenty of cheap places to go eat Yum Cha / Dim Sum, but if you want an awesome dining experience, check out Mr Wong’s.
Mr Wong’s is set in an old historical building, so the dining area is surrounded by sandstone, which was the choosen building material when Sydney was first colonised.

There is an open kitchen, so you can see all the action with the chefs preparing the meals.

I went in for lunch when the Dim Sum menu is available. There are 28 different items on the Dim Sum Menu, we managed to only try a few of these. All very high quality.

We ordered up all our favourite dishes including Char Sui Bao (BBQ pork buns), Ha Goa (steamed prawn dumplings), some Xiao Long Bao (Shanghai Soup Dumplings), some pork Sui mai dumplings. 2 different dishes with the flat rice noodles, 1 with prawn, the other with beef and we ordered a plate of the wok fried flat noodles.

Price of each of these dishes were around the $21 mark. It ended up costing the 3 of us $50 each. If we were down in Chinatown, we could have had the same meal for about $25 each, so be prepared for the higher prices.
