Best Steak Restaurant in Hua Hin – Prime Steakhouse

Prime Steakhouse is a top quality steak restaurant located very close to the Hilton Hotel in the heart of Hua Hin. This is the best steak restaurant in Hua Hin. With top quality imported steaks, other great food options, very nice friendly service and excellent atmosphere inside the restaurant. Prices are high compared to the average Thai restaurant but with such a high quality restaurant comes higher prices.

Reservations are highly recommended to get a seat at Prime Steakhouse. I went in during the low season and it was pretty easy to get a seat but it was still quite busy inside. While most restaurants in Hua Hin were very quiet, Prime Steakhouse was pretty busy. During peak tourists seasons a reservation is a must!

There are some subtle things the owner of Prime Steakhouse has done to make the atmosphere excellent inside the restaurant. On the roof there are noise cancelling acoustic foam which lowers the ambient noise from other dining tables. They are playing very soft music, loud enough to hear but not loud enough to make it difficult to hold a conversation. When I was there, the music played was some very cool jazz inspired music, remixes of famous songs like Imagine from John Lennon. Creep from Radiohead and Killing me Softly by the Fugees. It took me awhile to click that the music were these songs, very nice remixes.

The food menu is very extensive, with top quality import steaks from Australia and New Zealand. The cheapest steak on the menu costs 895 Baht (around US$25).

I had ordered some Garlic bread for an entrée which came out first. This was just ok. Bread in Thailand is not so good but this was still some tasty garlic bread.

Foe dessert I just had a very simple scoop of ice-cream which was tasty and an excellent way to finish off this great meal in Hua Hin.

They have an excellent wine menu with wine by the glass or by the bottle. The have wine imported from Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany and Argentina.

The service is very good too. I had ordered my steak medium. When it came out I cut into the steak and it was more bloody than I like so I politely asked the wait staff if they could get the chef to cook it some more to make it medium. There was no fuss. The wait staff took it back, within minutes they had returned my meal. It had been cooked longer, replated and even the mash potato which I had dug into, had been topped up so the whole plate looked like it had been freshly served. Top service!
