Awesome Banh Mi Vietnamese Bread Roll at Destination Roll Sydney CBD
I have been in search for the best Banh Mi Vietnamese bread rolls in Sydney city CBD area and I have found one of the best. The Banh Mi served at Destination Roll on York Street Sydney CBD is simply delicious!
Located directly across from the Grace Hotel at 36 York Street, 1 block down from the Queen Victoria Building, directly behind the Apple Store on George Street. Destination roll specialises in the Banh Mi bread roll but also do the Vietnamese Pho noodle soup (I will get back to try their pho!).
There are 6 different Banh Mi to choose from at Destination Roll, all cost $6.50:
Crispy Pork Banh Mi
BBQ Pork Banh Mi
Meat Ball Banh Mi
Chicken Banh Mi
Lemongrass and Chicken Banh Mi
Steak Banh Mi
For $9 they have a meal deal where you can choose any of these Banh Mi and you get an iced coffee/drink and 3 chicken wings! Good deal!
Now they do not have the traditional sliced pork roll. At first I thought they would lose points as I really love the traditional Vietnamese banh mi with that mystery meat pork slices. It looks like processed meat but it so tasty.
As they didn’t have the pork slices I went for the BBQ pork. The bread roll they use is delightful. So crispy and nice fluffy white bread inside the roll. When I bit into this BBQ pork bread roll there was an explosion of flavour which sent this to #1 tasty Banh Mi in Sydney CBD! I had the chillis on the roll which were fiery! If you are not a chilli fan then pass on the red chillis as I had the chilli sweats after eating this roll. I love it spicy!
As the search continues, I am ranking the Banh Mi as I go. Destination Roll slots into number 1 spot for Best Banh Mi in Sydney CBD. The search continues to find the Top 10!
