The best Indian Restaurant in Sydney is Billus out in Harris Park, next to Parramatta but luckily Billus have a sister restaurant locatred in Barangaroo, right next to the waterfront, on the edge of Sydney CBD.

I have eaten a few times at Spiced by Billus at Barrangaroo and have never been disappointed. The quality of the food is outstanding. I have had several team lunches there with some Indian colleagues and they also think the food at Spice at Billus is outstanding! This definitely deserves the number 1 spot for best Indian restaurant in Sydney CBD.

The Spice Room at Circular Quay

The Spice Room has been serving up delicious Indian food at Circular Quay for many years now. Tucked under the train bridge which leads to Circular Quay Train Station, The Spice Room is a very intimate restaurant serving up some of the best Indian food in Sydney.

Grand Palace Indian Restaurant Wynyard

Grand Palace Indian Restaurant is a failry new comer to the Sydney food scene, first opened at the end of 2022. I’ve been there for a few team lunches and again my Indian colleagues all think the food here is very good. I agree. We have had some delicious feasts.

The Grand Palace is located on George Street, just down from Wynyard Train Station.

Manjit’s Wharf Restaurant

Manjit’s is another fantastic, top class restaurant located in Balmain but they branched out and brought their top quality Indian food to the Sydney city. Their Manji’ts Wharf Restaurant is located at King Street Wharf, with great views over Darling Harbour. This is another top quality Indian restaurant that deserves a spot in the best Indian restaurants in Sydney city.

We have been here for a few different lunches and all enjoyed the excellent food. Prices are a bit higher at Manjit’s but the quality and service is very good.

Lal Qila Restaurant

Lal Qila is located on Lime Street next to King Street Wharf, serving up North Indian / Pakistani food. I’ve been in many times for their lunch time all you can eat buffet. All the food at Lal Qila is Halal.

The buffet has a great selection of dishes, a few different meat or vegetable curries, tandoori meats like chicken and sheesh kebabs, salads, biryani rice
