New York Style Pizza on Soi 11 Sukhumvit Bangkok at Tony’s

Tony’s Restaurant is a very classy Italian restaurant located on Soi 11 Sukhumvit Bangkok, serving up New York style Italian food, including some delicious New York style pizza.

Tony’s was first opened in 2021 by Anthony Burd who is an Italian American born in New Jersery. Shortly after opening, Tony’s Italian restaurant starting winning awards including the Top 25 Restaurants Bangkok 2022.

I went in for lunch to try their pizza and was impressed. Prices are a bit higher than your standard Bangkok restaurant but they are not over the top. I would say prices are spot on for such good quality food. There are plenty of other high class restaurants in Bangkok charging way more than the prices at Tony’s.

I had their classic Pepperoni Pizza (420 Baht) which was delicious. This is my go to pizza, so easy to judge various different pizza joints. The pepperoni was very good quality with a little bit of a bite but not too spicy. A good amount of cheese (not too much) and a nice wood fired base. This is a very tasty pizza! It is very hard to find good pizza in Bangkok, so this is impressive. I think it is something to do with the humidity affecting the pizza dough to rise properly, most places have terrible pizza base, but at Tony’s it is very nice. On their website, Tony’s say that they let their dough rise for 72 hours (72 hour leveaned dough).

I need to get back to Tony’s and try their pasta dishes. At lunch time it was fairly busy with families enjoying a leasurely lunch. I saw many of the pasta dishes coming out and they all looked lovely. Tony’s gets much busier in the evenings, from dinner service, then later in the evening with party goers drinking cocktails.
