Best Noodle Soups in Parramatta

Parramatta is a very multi-cultural city located in Western Sydney. With a mix of nationalities, there should be no surprise you can get some excellent Asian noodle soups here. If you are looking for some delicious Japanese ramen noodles, udon noodles, Vietnamese pho, Cantonese style Wonton Noodle Soups or Malaysian / Singaporean Curry Laksa noodle soup, you can find it here in Parramatta. Laksa at Papparich Malaysian Restaurant

Laksa is the King of Noodles Soups. It also happens to be my favourite type of noodle soup on this planet. Luckily for me there is also my favourite Malaysian restaurant, Papparich, which is located right across from Parramatta Train Station. Papparich serves a number of different noodles soups like the Prawn Mee, Ipoh Koay Teow soup but my go to soup here is the awesome Chicken Laksa.

The chicken laksa at Papparich has a rich complex coconut soup which is thick and packed full of flavours from the galangal, coriander, chilli and other herbs that they use to slow cook the soup. All the additional goodies like the deep fried tofu, fish cake, vegetables and ofcourse the ample laksa noodles and you got your self an awesome meal. Read more about Papparich Parramatta.

Japenese Ramen Noodle Soup at Mikazuki Japanese Restaurant

Located just next to Parramatta Train Station is Mikazuki Japanese Restaurant which serves a good range of different Japanese food but the most popular dish on the menu are the range of Ramen noodle soups. My personal favourite is their signature Tonkontsu pork based ramen noodle soup but they also have a range of ramen with their chicken based soup.

Vietnamese Pho at Pho Pasteur Vietnamese Restaurant Parramatta

Serving the best Vietnamese food in Parramatta is the famous Pho Pasteur Vietnamese Restaurant and the most popular dish on their menu is their traditional Vietnamese Pho noodle soups. They have a selection of Pho, with either chicken, seafood or my favourite, the raw beef Pho. The thin slices of raw beef is placed in the hot soup which cooks the meat ever so slightly to give it a very tender feel.

They also serve a very good chicken laksa. Their laksa comes pretty close to the laksa at Papparich, so I give their laksa a very close 2nd. Read more about Pho Pasteur Vietnamese Restaurant.

Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup

1915 Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup restaurant opened in February 2022, serving the famous Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup which comes from northwest China’s Gansu province. This is a 100% Halal restaurant serving delicious noodle soup with hand made noodles made in the restaurant. The city of Lanzhou is famous for their stretched noodles.

Tempura Udon Noodle Soup at Umaya Japanese Restaurant

Located on Marsden Street is Umaya Japanese Restaurant which has been serving delicious Japanese food since 2017. On their menu they have a Udon Noodle Soup, which is my favourite Japanese noodle soup. I would go an Udon noodle soup before a ramen any day!

This is a very substantial meal, with a big bowl of thick Udon noodles and a side dish of prawn and vegetable tempura. I like to place the tempura in the noodle soup which adds more flavour to the soup stock.

Soy Chicken Noodle Soup at Sun Ming BBQ Restaurant

Sun Ming is a classic Hong Kong style BBQ restaurant with the BBQ pork and roast duck hanging in the window. As well as the traditional Cantonese style BBQ, they also do a good range of noodle soups, my favourite, the delicious Soy Chicken Noodle Soup.

For $16 you get a large plate of the slow cooked soy chicken with the meat just falling off the bones. Then you get a big bowl of noodle soup, either egg noodles or rice noodles. Read more about Sun Ming Cantonese Restaurant.
