Breakfast at the Sandbar Surfers Paradise

Sandbar is a very popular bar/restaurant located directly across from Surfers Paradise Beach, just 2 blocks down from the famous Surfers Paradise sign. This is a great bar for sitting back in the afternoon or evening for a few cold beverages and they are also open every morning serving up your classic Aussie cafe style food. While this restaurant / bar is directly across from the beach, you don’t really get a view of the beach. At the front of the restaurant you can see across to the ocean but not onto the sand (see pic at the bottom of this post with a view across to Surfers Paradise Beach).

They do have a good range of Aussie cafe breakfast food like Eggs Any Style ($12), classic bacon and eggs ($16) with a choice of toast, Eggs Benedict ($19-$21) with a choice of smoke salmon, bacon, mushrooms or ham. If you are really hungry for a big meal then they have the Beachside Big Breakky ($24) fry up which comes with bacon, fried eggs, cheese, fresh avocado, spinach and a crispy hash brown on a milk bun with hollandaise sauce.

I went for the Good Ol’ Bacon and Eggs and it was a tasty breakfast. As well as the sour dough toast, it came with 2 eggs (I chose poached), 2 rashers of bacon and a grilled tomato.

I went in at around 8am Monday 27th December 2021 on the Public Holiday. I was the only person there when I sat down but by the time I had finished my bacon and eggs, most tables inside and out were full.

They have tables and chairs right out the front of the restaurant or there are more tables and chairs inside, in semi air conditioning, with the doors open at the front to let in the sea breeze.
