Club Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Macau Hotel Review
The Grand Hyatt Macau is a fine example of the luxury that Hyatt puts into their hotel brands. A top quality hotel located within the City of Dreams on the Cotai Entertainment district of Macau.
Located on the 37th Floor of this luxury tower building is the Club Lounge which you can get access to if you book a room with Club Access or if you are a Globalist Hyatt Gold Passport member. To become a Globalist you have had to have stayed 60 nights at Hyatt Hotels with a 1 year period.
To book a room with Club Access will cost an extra HKD440 per night, which is around US$50 per night. With the Club Access you get the buffet breakfast from 6.30am to 10am and the evening drinks and canapes from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. So if there are 2 of you staying in the room you are getting breakfast and drinks/canapes for $25 each, which is a damn good deal.
I was so impressed with the Club Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Macau. I would say this is one of the best club lounges I have been to. First up all the staff were fantastic. From the staff at the front entrance who greet you, to the staff helping get you drinks and all the chefs preparing all the delightful food. They were all so friendly and really made you feel welcome. While all the food and drinks are self-service in the Club Lounge, I found the staff were so efficient and were always on hand to grab another coffee for me at breakfast, or top up my Champagne or go grab me a nothing frosty cold beer from the fridges.
The views from the Club Lounge are awesome too. Out one side of the club lounge you have views over the Cotai Entertainment Strip and see many of the huge hotel towers and across the mainland China. Out the other side of the club lounge you look directly down the Macau International Airport.
Then comes the excellent dining experience with the delicious buffet breakfast and the evening drinks and canapes.
The buffet breakfast was excellent with all types of breakfast foods including cereals, fresh fruits, bread/toast, hot dishes like grilled sausages, bacon and a chef on hard to cook eggs any style you wanted.
Each morning I got my serve of bacon and eggs with some excellent coffee.
The evening session is more than just canapes, with a chef on hand cooking about some delicious meats on the open grill. Each night they cooked a different meal, 1 night I had the Korean style grilled beef, another night grilled pork and then some delicious grilled chicken wings.
There was also a table full of salads, breads, potato crisps and nut mixes, cold meats and fresh cheese. There is also a table lined with a selection of Champagne, white and red wines and a selection of top quality spirits as well as a selection of fruit juices. There was also a large fridge stocked with a selection of international beers.
As I mentioned at the start of this article, I rate this Club Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Macau as one of the best Club Lounges I have ever visited. I can not fault this lounge at all. Very much worth the HKD440 price to get access.
